Mark your calendars! October 30 - November 1 Montreal, Quebec
Healing begins in a safe and dignified space.
For women and children escaping violence, a bedroom is more than a place to sleep. It is the first place where fear can ease, privacy is restored, and healing can begin.
Through the Room to Heal campaign, Na’amat Canada is rebuilding 12 bedrooms at the Na’amat Canada Glickman Centre for Family Violence Prevention in Tel Aviv — the first women’s shelter established in Israel.
This is a project Canada helped build. Now, we proudly rebuild it.
Our goal is to raise $140,000 to ensure that every room reflects safety, dignity, and care from the moment a family walks through the door.
We are honoured to announce the
Benny Freedman z”l Match For Hope
Through Holocaust survivor Benny Freedman's Legacy, we have received a generous gift of $70,000 to match every dollar raised toward our $140,000 goal.
For more than 30 years the Glickman Centre has provided shelter, counselling, legal support, and rehabilitation programs for women and children experiencing abuse.
The bedrooms are central to this mission.
In this Year in Review you will find:
A building is just walls, until we fill it with opportunity.
At Kanot Youth Village in Israel, hundreds of vulnerable teens find not just a school, but a second chance. Many come from poverty, trauma, or instability. Kanot gives them safety, support, and the tools to succeed.
Now, a brand-new middle school building has been constructed on campus, designed as a “school for the future”. It’s ready… almost.
To open its doors in September 2025, we need your help to furnish and equip this vital space.
Your donation will help provide:
Every donation is an investment in a young person’s future.
Because it truly takes a village to turn hope into action.

Our chapter includes women of all ages, many with professional careers, and with families in varying stages of life. We share enthusiasm and a strong commitment to the values and ideals of Na'amat through generous volunteering of both time and energy. We meet monthly to enjoy interesting speakers and presentations, to engage with the larger Hamilton community, to connect with one another, and to plan fundraising and special events or projects. We meet monthly to discuss and plan our fundraising activities and to enjoy interesting presentations.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our meetings are currently being held virtually. We welcome new members and encourage members to invite guests.

Na’amat Hamilton’s chapter, Club Nitzan, was established in 1981. We’re honoured to continue the legacy of the founders as current co-presidents.
The goals and achievements of Na’amat Israel are truly amazing, and the more we learn about the 90 years of our movement, the more we feel a sense of pride and belonging.
Our chapter is unique and consists of a group of women ranging in age from mid-twenty to mid-eighty. Our longstanding members are welcoming and nurturing while our newer members keep the group dynamic and active. We now have 45 members and we welcome new members – whether you’re a Hamiltonian or new to the city.
Led by an excellent program committee, we enjoy stimulating monthly meetings. Presentations cover a broad range of topics such as Jewish life and culture, women’s health, human rights and empowerment and women’s issues.
The strength of our group is demonstrated by the continued success of our major fundraiser that celebrates Canadian authors and supports Na'amat – our well established Na’amat Annual Celebrity Author Luncheon, this year our 37th and first ever virtual.
We want to thank all our wonderful members for their dedication to Na’amat and for making Hamilton Nitzan the great chapter that it is.
