Hamilton's President's Message
Na’amat Hamilton’s chapter, Club Nitzan, was established 35 years ago. We are honoured to continue the legacy of the founders as current co-presidents.
The goals and achievements of Na’amat Israel are truly amazing, and the more we learn about the 90 years of our movement, the more we feel a sense of pride and belonging.
Our chapter is unique and consists of a group of women ranging in age from mid-twenty to mid-eighty. Our longstanding members are welcoming and nurturing while our newer members keep the group dynamic and active. We now have over 70 members and we welcome new members – Hamiltonians or newcomers.
Led by an excellent program committee, we enjoy stimulating monthly meetings, usually held in member’s homes. Presentations cover a broad range of topics such as Judaism, culture, women’s issues and health. This year, Zimfira Poloz, artistic director of the renowned Hamilton Children’s Choir, provided us with the confidence that anyone could sing. At another meeting, computer expert Amy Back demystified social media.
The strength of our group is demonstrated with our major fundraising events – our well established Na’amat Annual Celebrity Author Luncheon, this year our 31st, and our exciting newer fundraiser – the Wellness Day.
We want to thank all our wonderful members for their dedication to Na’amat and for making Nitzan the great chapter that it is.
